Nestled in Co Mayo beside the River Moy, Foxford Woollen Mills is an idyllic location for your next interiors shopping trip. Housed in its original 1892 mills, it is a shopping destination, café, museum and garden all wrapped up into one fun, cultural experience.

As soon as you walk into Foxford, you can stroll through its furniture showrooms, browse bedroom displays for inspiration and refuel with a coffee and bite to eat in the beautiful café, which is housed in its original pattern and yarn rooms.

Foxford’s roots

For over a century, the Mill has been the heartbeat of Foxford, and a lifeline for families in periods of high Irish emigration. Famous visitors have included Michael Collins, President Mary Robinson and even James Joyce, who applied to be a Foxford agent but didn’t get the job. (However, Foxford does get a mention in Ulysses.)

Over the years, Foxford has enjoyed working with Irish designers and, most recently, has partnered with renowned Irish designer Helen McAlinden, whose designs draw inspiration from the West Coast’s rugged landscape. Now, the Mill boasts an international presence as a lifestyle brand, while championing its Irish heritage.
