IMAGE Magazine and Boots invite you to an outstanding weekend of beauty excitement, expertise and insider tips.?Combining the hottest talent in the business, with plenty of special guests and generous hospitality, this will be a weekend of beauty-packed, selfie-snapping fun as we deep-dive into everything the world’s of hair, fragrance, skincare, suncare and cosmetics have to offer. Over Thursday evening, July 13 and all day Saturday, July 15, Boots, in association with IMAGE Magazine, will present a calendar of drop-in sessions, interviews, makeovers and meet and greets.
Ahead of?the Boots Summer Beauty Weekender, we caught up with beauty influencer and Thursday’s act?Tara O’Farrell.
What’s your earliest beauty memory/when did you first fall in love with beauty?
I remember on the day of my confirmation my mum gave me my first lip balm. It’s was pink and shimmery in the shape of a flower. She?let me wear it and I genuinely thought I was a superstar for the day,?From that day on lip gloss was an essential and still is!
What are the beauty essentials?that are always in your’makeup bag?
No matter how small the handbag there is always room for lipstick, lip liner and a mini fragrance. I wouldn’t leave the house without all three.
What’s the one beauty trick that elevates a look?
I always mix a liquid illuminator into my foundation to give my skin an extra healthy glow. There is nothing more youthful than dewy skin.
What’s your one beauty must-have when going on holidays?
The healthiest tan is a false tan, I always wear tan when I am on holidays! I instantly feel better with a tan especially when I have the legs out on holidays. I never allow my skin to burn and always keep it well protected with a high sun?factor.
Who were your early beauty influences?
My mum always makes an effort with her appearance?and would?always have her nails painted and lipstick on for as long as I can remember. She is a beauty junkie like me and is always interested in hearing about the new product?launches and releases so I suppose her interest in beauty definitely rubbed off on me.
