Take a look at some social photos from the oh-so stylish launch of the Continentally Classic Best Dressed Competition 2022.

When was it?

July 2022, ahead of this year’s Continentally Classic Best Dressed Lady Competition, which will take place following Ladies’ Day at the Dublin Horse Show on Thursday 18 August.

Where was it?

InterContinental Dublin, Simmonscourt Road, Ballsbridge.

Why were we there?

Stylish guests gathered in the ICE Bar at the five-star InterContinental Dublin for the launch of the Continentally Classic Best Dressed Lady Competition 2022, which will take place at the hotel following Ladies’ Day at the Dublin Horse Show on Thursday 18 August.

The Best Dressed Lady at the August event will win a €1,000 voucher for Kildare Village, the services of a Personal Shopper, complimentary use of the VIP suite, and hands-free shopping for the day. The lucky lady will also enjoy a one night stay with breakfast and dinner in the InterContinental Dublin, and in sister MHL Collection Hotels the Powerscourt Resort Hotel & Spa in Wicklow and Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate in Galway.

The Best Dressed Man on the evening will receive a one night stay at the InterContinental Dublin with breakfast, dinner and a bottle of Perrier Jouet Champagne.

Who was there?

Fashion editor Bairbre Power styled and hosted an intimate salon fashion show, featuring stunning Ladies’ Day inspired looks from an array of Irish and international designers.

Bairbre joins Nicky Logue, General Manager of InterContinental Dublin, to judge the Best Dressed Lady in August and will be looking for a Continentally Classic look with lots of originality and individuality with a continental twist.

Guests enjoyed a selection of summer canapés, prepared by Executive Head Chef Alberto Rossi and his team, sipped Perrier-Jouet Champagne, and enjoyed refreshing Glendalough Rose Gin and Fever Tree Tonics.

Among the stylish ladies there on the evening were Irish designers Fiona Heaney of FeeG, Heidi Higgins, Laura Jayne Halton and Caroline Kilkenny, milliner Carol Kennelly, broadcasters Mary Kennedy and Nuala Carey and models Sophie Anderton and Ros Lipsett.
