Social Pictures: Dromoland Castle Gala Christmas Dinner in aid of National Breast Cancer Research

Dromoland Castle & Estate served as the magical festive backdrop for this year’s Christmas Gala Dinner in aid of Breast Cancer Research.

Three hundred ladies travelled from all corners of Ireland to Co. Clare to attend this very glamorous and elegant evening of festivities and celebration.

When was it?

Thursday 1 December

Where was it?

Dromoland Castle, Newmarket-On-Fergus, Co. Clare

What did the event entail?

Maria Nolan and the event committee warmly welcomed guests to the Christmas Castle for this very special evening. Ladies were spoiled from the moment they arrived with Christmas carols, champagne and cocktails, followed by a delicious five course banquet and music in the piano bar until the early hours of the morning.

The auction on the night saw magnificent prizes raising much needed funds for Breast Cancer Research. One of the highlight auction prizes was oil on canvas by Roisin O Farrell and a limited edition pink My Name Is Ted bag very kindly donated by Kasia Gaborec-McEvoy. Keanes Jewellers kindly donated a Diamond and Dial a Diamond created quite a frenzy on the night. The evening was a huge success, and over €65,000 was raised for this very worthy charity.

In attendance on the night were Maria Nolan, Dr. Cathy Casey, Professor Michael Kerins, Marie Chawke, Lorraine Keane, Deborah Veale, Morah, Babs and Bonnie Ryan and Kathryn Thomas.
