5 Female Photographers’ Instagrams We Love

Cait Fahey is a young photographer with such an eye for colour and detail, that when you look at her snaps, you’ll feel like you’ve fallen into a subdued kaleidoscope. In recent weeks, she filmed a music video for Cloud Castle Lake and has taken some stunning portraits of artists, like the singer Angel Olsen below.

Sarah Doyle’s work is a familiar sight to theatre fans in Dublin. She’s responsible for some of the most vibrant promotional posters in recent years and her fashion work is building her a steady and edgy reputation. We love her singular and dramatic focus.

Ailbhe O’Donnell is one of our favourite people/photographers. She’s responsible for our people and places profiles and her Instagram is a catalogue of everyday beauty. Her holiday to California last Autumn and its accompanying photo series made us nearly hand in our notice to follow her exact tranquil trail. Why should you follow Ailbhe? Because she’ll make you look at the world through a more thoughtful lens.

Kate Nolan excels when it comes to capturing people. Her photographs tell stories and we can’t help but build up elaborate fictions around her subjects. This still from the streets of Dublin last St. Patrick’s Day reminds of those rambling free days as a teen; when it was more important to convince yourself you were having a good time, than to? enjoy each moment on its actual merits.

We were pointed in the direction of Dragana Jurisic’s work by one of her future subjects. Jurisic is working on an intriguing series at the moment called €100 Muses?, part of a larger project called My Own Unknown. You can see snippets of the project weaving throughout her Instagram. It is beautiful, focusing on the naked female body with a ghostly and honest eye.
