Emily Ratajkowski hosted a wedding for her dog and we’re strangely intrigued

Emily Ratajkowski hosted a wedding for her dog and we’re strangely intrigued

In a strange turn of events, the dogs of Emily Ratajkowski and her friends have got married. It’s weird but strangely cute at the same time

There are some bizarre happenings coming out of this pandemic.

Elon Musk’s child being named X Æ A-12; Donal Trump being more Donald Trump than ever; parents of a certain vintage becoming obsessed with memes, and society as we know it turning on its head.

However, this may take the award for the ‘weirdest coronavirus story’.

Actress and model Emily Ratajkowski hosted a wedding for her dog.

Yes, you heard me. I did not make this up, nor is it a prank.

Here is the proof.

On Saturday, Emily hosted a backyard wedding for her dog Colombo and her friends Josh Ostrovsky and Caitlin King’s dog Happy. She shared behind the scenes footage of the ceremony, and in an Instagram post wrote: “Quarantined together so why not marry our children? They love each other so much. Congrats Happy and Colombo.”

Colombo was the groom and Happy was the bride.

We are torn. It’s outlandish. It’s most certainly a byproduct of boredom. The neighbours would look at you strangely if you attempted it anywhere in the 32 counties of Ireland.

Although, at the same time, it’s weirdly cute. The dogs look adorable and we can’t help but think of how excited one would be for any type of celebration in such turbulent times.

Then again, is quarantine really a valid excuse to marry your dogs? I know we are all lacking weddings in our social diaries but the celebrities may just be taking it a tad too far here.

It seems the stars of the world were fans of the idea with model Kaia Gerber commenting: “Crying tears of joy.”

Outside of the dogs getting married, the event has made us lust for Emily Ratajkowski’s interiors. Her home is filled with light,  abstract prints, velvet, hues of green and pops of pink.

We think we might just like to get married there too.
