Tried & Tested: Emily O’Neill’s review of the Shark Air Styler

Nothing screams sparkle season like the ultimate bouncy blow dry. A few years ago we would have all been scrambling to book last-minute hair appointments for the Christmas party but now we can achieve the salon look at home using Shark Beauty’s range of hair tools.

Last Christmas I received the FlexStyle 5-in-1 Air Styler & Hair Dryer Set as a gift and I have not put it down since. I also haven’t had to go to a salon for a blow dry! As someone with thick, frizzy and slightly curly hair, this tool has been a game changer for me. I can dry my hair and style my hair in no time and I love how versatile it is. I use every single attachment that comes with it.

The Styling Concentrator is essential for effortlessly drying and smoothing your hair. The rotating nozzle makes it super easy to dry from all angles. I don’t often wear my hair straight but when I do, the Paddle Brush is a lifesaver. I always struggled with achieving a sleek look due to the frizziness of my hair but this attachment has changed the game for me. My hair stays straight and sleek for days on end. If I want a little more volume to my hair I will use the Oval Brush. The mix of boar and plastic bristles on the brush smooth and defrizz whilst leaving your hair with the ultimate shine.

Now, moving on to the curls, both natural and styled. My most used attachment of the FlexStyle is the Curl-Defining Diffuser. The diffuser dries my curls from roots to ends in no time and leaves them looking so shiny and defined. The extendable prongs are incredible for adding volume to the roots too.

The FlexStyle is most known for its incredible Auto-Wrap Curlers which have been going viral across social media for the last couple of years. If you asked me if they live up to the hype I would say yes a hundred times over. They are sensational. Any time I post my hair on Instagram after styling it with the curlers I get an insane amount of messages asking what I used and if I can share my tips. I adore the bounce it leaves in my hair. And the best part is that you can style your hair and not worry about damage.
