The four products you need for a gorgeous, glowy complexion

Celebrity make-up artist Christine Lucignano shares her faves from the No7 Pro Artist Collection.

The No7 Pro Artist collection is like having an MUA in your pocket. We ask Christine Lucignano to work through the range and to share some of her favourites.

“The key to a glowing winter complexion is gorgeous, layerable, melty-texture products. We don’t want to look like we’re coated in make-up… like, if it enters the room before us! The steps are simple, and thanks to modern-day formulations, easy to get right.

“I always begin by hydrating the skin. Sometimes I’ll do eyes first to really let those moisturisers do their thing. Then it’s in with a good foundation. The No7 Lift & Luminate TRIPLE ACTION Serum Foundation has a consistency that goes on like a dream and has skincare benefits for added performance. As an additional prep step, the No7 Pro Artist Collection has the Base Perfecting Primer (€25.99) that I’m coming to realise I can’t live without. I am using it backstage on models’ fresh faces to really help make-up grip and stay true under pressure.

“Then, onwards, the concealers. The No7 Pro Artist Touch Up Concealer (€25.99) comes in six shades and acts like a highlighting concealer which I pop on with a brush — flat or fluff – and blend with my finger. I put a couple of shades on my palette (you can use the back of your hand) to work with as we don’t want the face to be flattened by a monotone. I love the portable container and the click mechanism; it’s hygienic and keeps the product fresh.

“The No7 Pro Artist Luxe Liquid Blush (€19.99) in three shades is where things start getting fun. This stunning, sheer formula has pigment FOR DAYS but literally melts into the skin so it looks like your own complexion shining through! You apply, blend in and play before it self-sets, and then it’s not budging. Use a brush and just dab on; blush is still having a moment so you can go a little more intense in winter. It’s so sheer it’ll literally just act as the most beautiful, subtle enhancement and can be used on lips too.

“Whether you powder or not is up to you, but first comes the product which I think could be the star product of the collection, and that’s the No7 Pro Artist Soft Cream Bronzer (€25.99). It’s a non-shimmery, non-glittery sheer formula which comes in three shades and the finish is divine! It can be used to contour and bronze and truly; it’s a run-don’t-walk moment.

“Those are the steps. Finish with the No7 Pro Artist Set The Scene Loose Setting Powder (€16.99), which I like to apply by stippling on with a big, soft brush so as not to move anything, I learned that tip from the uber MUA, Bobbi Brown, and then be sure to use a velour puff for the bits of the face a brush can’t get to. As a final insurance, a spritz of the No7 Finishing Touch Fixing Spray (€25.99) is good for my ladies to ensure longevity and no schvitzing, whatever the moment!

“The perfected winter complexion is fresh, sheer and layerable, and to achieve that, the No7 Pro Artist Collection textures and colours are perfection.”

The No7 Pro Artist Collection is available now from Boots stores nationwide and at boots.ie.
