The best looks from the Venice Film Festival so far

Despite ongoing restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Venice Film Festival has gone ahead this year. The star-studded event is being held as a physical event, unlike many of its counterparts, which were cancelled, postponed or digitised. And with masks in tow, stars have attended the prestigious event, including Cate Blanchett as head of the jury, Maya Hawke, Tilda Swinton and more.

Taking place between 2 and 12 September, the Venice Film Festival is the world’s longest-running film festival and below is a selection of our favourite looks so far:

Cate Blanchett in a rewearing of an embroidered Alexander McQueen top (previously worn as part of a dress at the 2016 BAFTAs). Photo: @TheFashionCourt

She then re-wore a flowing navy design by Esteban Cortazar, which she previously wore to the Carol premiere in 2015. Photo: @fxbullnblanch

Taylor Hill in a dressing-gown style mini-dress by Etro. Photo: @celebsandglam

She also opted for a patterned Etro gown and Chopard jewellery for the Opening Ceremony. Photo:@sssselenalllove

She also wore a black Louis Vuitton mini dress with matching monochrome cape. Photo: @TheFashionCourt
Tilda Swinton in a white lace Chanel Couture coat-dress and face mask designed by James Merry. Photo: @Chanel

She then wore a lemon-yellow tailored Haider Ackermann suit to a photocall. Photo: @StellaMaxwellf2
