The best black boots to strut your stuff in this autumn

For many, autumn dressing is when they feel their true sartorial selves. After a summer of dousing ourselves in fake tan and pretending it’s warm enough to wear flowing white linen dresses, we’re finally ready to succumb and break out the tights again. But before we start investing in knitwear and other autumnal staples, a good pair of black boots is key. 

Doc Martens are a divil to break in but they’ve been my best purchase to date. Find yourself a good pair and they’ll last you a lifetime if you’re lucky.
