Scandi outerwear brand Rains has just opened its first Dublin store — here are the essentials

Rains specialise in wet weather essentials which, let’s face it, are required all year round here in Ireland.

Earlier this month, on Thursday, March 14, Scandinavian outerwear lifestyle brand Rains opened their flagship Irish store at 21 Wicklow Street, and the new store is fitted out with signature Rains icons like rain jackets, backpacks, weekend bags, and new arrivals for the season ahead.

The space replicates the brand’s unique store concept, evoking the Rains DNA by mixing industrial and architectural elements throughout. From custom lighting specifically designed for the store to stainless steel hardware, the space is the ultimate destination for weather-ready outfitting. The 60-square-foot space also plays host to a uniquely built design from long-time Rains collaborative partner, artist Jacob Egeberg.

Rains Dublin

Over the coming year, Rains will be continuing its European and North American expansion with eight new locations, setting up shop in New York, Stockholm, Paris, and Milan, to name but a few.

If you’re unfamiliar with the brand, Rains blends a conceptual-meets-functional design approach, a strong urban inspiration, and a signature fabric identity. Essentially, the brand brings its neo-Scandinavian aesthetic, unisex collections, and consistently surprising curation to consumers across four continents… and if it’s good enough for Kim K, it’s good enough for us.

Here is a small selection of some of our favourite Rains pieces that you can shop online, or in their Dublin store at 21 Wicklow Street…
