Real Weddings: Zoë and Kevin’s glamorous Las Vegas celebration

by Shayna Healy
01st Aug 2025

Zoë and Kevin tied the knot in true Las Vegas style at the iconic Little White Chapel, with none other than Elvis himself officiating the ceremony.

THE COUPLE
Zoë Kelly, project manager and Kevin Kelly, banking.

THEY LIVE
In Wicklow.

THE VENUE
The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Shevelle.

THEY MET
On Tinder!

THE PROPOSAL
We planned a trip to Vegas in 2023 together. Kevin booked a very romantic dinner at Lavo in the Bellagio hotel overlooking the fountain show. Originally, he planned to propose there; however, he waited until he found a quiet spot in front of a smaller Italian-style fountain in the Bellagio gardens. Here, he asked me to face the fountain for a photo, and when I turned around, he was down on one knee! We knew there was nowhere else in the world we would rather get married.

THE WEDDING ATTIRE
I kept my dress simple and wore a white satin mini dress from Miphai paired with ivory Jimmy Choo heels. The centrepiece was my custom veil. My Maid of Honour, Lauren, embroidered our initials and wedding date, which made it so special. My bridesmaids wore matching black mini dresses paired with pointed bow detail heels.

On a previous trip to Vegas, Kevin had chosen a cream and black tuxedo. His groomsmen wore black tuxedos fitted and tailored by the fabulous Brendan and his team from Ready Tux.

THE CEREMONY
When in Vegas, it would be rude not to be married by Elvis. He was just as fun and charismatic as you would imagine. He put Kevin and me at ease and had us in stitches the whole time. Elvis sang Can’t Help Falling in Love as I walked down the red velvet aisle.

THE RECEPTION
We had a cocktail reception at STK Steakhouse in the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés with the stunning backdrop of cherry blossom trees (STK are known for these). The meal took place in a private dining room where we enjoyed steak with all the trimmings.

The meal was followed by cocktails at the Chandelier Bar, which is located inside an actual chandelier! We chose a selection of cocktails, which included the famous secret menu signature cocktail Verbena, which numbs the tongue and changes flavour.

THE ENTERTAINMENT

Elvis sang some of his greatest hits and had all of our guests singing along and dancing as we said our ‘I Dos’. The party continued as we took limos to the reception, supplied with prosecco for spraying and drinking.

THE DECOR
The dining room tables were decorated with white roses and tealight candles.

THEIR TOP TIPS
We opted to take our photographs before the ceremony, so we were able to stay with the guests all day. This meant that we had a first look earlier on. We didn’t have photographers for this moment. Instead, my bridesmaids, Lauren and Ella, coordinated us to meet at the corner of our balcony overlooking the Vegas strip. It was a lovely, intimate moment before the chaos!

WE WISH WE HAD
More time! Everyone says this, but the day flew by so quickly, it is hard to take it all in.

BEST MOMENTS
I took the opportunity to change into a second long-sleeved sequin-fitted dress before entering the cocktail reception with my new husband. We loved this moment because the formalities were over, it was time to enjoy ourselves and see all of our hard work and planning pay off.

THE FIRST DANCE SONG
Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley.
