Topshop Unique hits stores

This week, a great moment happened. This week, Topshop launched their Unique collection for this year’s Pre-Fall. As we know, this is the most awkward of all seasons, being too chilly for summer apparel but sweat-inducing when a coat is worn. So what’s a lady to wear?

Our favourite fashionable females, Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevingne and Alexa Chung, have all been spotted donning the capsule collection on and off the catwalk, notably in the front rows of London Fashion Week. The collections? pieces transcend many diverse historic eras from Alexa’s Victorian-detailed patterned purple dress, to Jourdan’s biker-chic look and Cara’s remixed 80s version of it.? Seventies florals are also an integral part of the mix, while high waists and flares make an appearance in the shape of indigo denim jeans and cropped ankle-grazing trousers.

Thankfully for us, the Unique line has very successfully managed to bridge that difficult gap between summer silks and winter wools, with a trendy tomboyish range that showcases leathers, suedes and velvets in sporty casual cuts. For the girlier of us, there are also shift dresses aplenty in delicate materials to be found.

As for shoes, among a few pairs of classic black and brown low and high-heeled sandals, you will find an absolute gem by the name of Hilda Shearling. These sandals are dressed with sheep’s wool so it actually looks like you’re walking on clouds!

As you can imagine, we’re loving all of Unique’s Pre-Fall pieces and running into town to nab ourselves an item. See you there!
