You don’t have to spend a month’s salary to find a fantastic bag?that will see you stylishly through each season, and more importantly, house everything you need it to on any?given day, from an?iPad to?your running shoes. We looked for form and function and picked the best all-purpose handbags on the high street.
This gorgeous calfskin leather tote is large enough to hold all your electronic devices and has a handy removable canvas zip pouch for all your smaller accessories. It measures 46cm x 38cm, and comes in three colours, including cobalt blue and black. But we love the pop of fuchsia pink. It will work in winter just as well as summer.

Backpacks are the handbag choice of style savvy shoppers this season. Try the trend with this gorgeous handcrafted leather backpack. The soft full grain leather and neutral shade of tan make it feel far less of a trend piece and more of a classic. Perfect for allowing you to comfortably carry everything you need through the day (without the single shoulder ache).

This double-purpose leather tote offers you two handbags in one. Cross-body when you’re travelling reasonably light, and hand-held (the longer strap is removable) for when you have a heavier load. It also has a small interior pocket so there’ll be no blind panic rummages for car keys and phones. The neutral shade of butter cream will work with everything, toning down primary colours and graphic prints, and adding a touch of warmth and texture to monochrome looks.

We love the hoop-shaped handle of this large shopper. It softens the box shape of the bag nicely, but keeps the overall look quite graphic. The bag is structured so iPads and make-up bags can sit happily side by side?without falling in on each other, as can happen with slouchy shoppers.

They’re called bucket bags for a reason – they’ll fit a multitude – We love the clean, minimalist look of this Ted Baker bag; it’s very French Riviera chic.

You?can have a bag that fits all (okay maybe not a laptop, but definitely an iPad) without having to go for a utilitarian vibe or super-sized’style. This gorgeous large clutch bag comes in beautifully tactile suede and neapolitan pink – how feminine is that? It’ll take you, your accessories, and gadgets, from day to evening. It’s top of our shopping list this week.

If you want to give your look a hit of the athleisure trend, try this Fred Perry shoulder bag. It’s a?great size with a robust strap, but most of all we love the retro vibe. Definitely a classic. It’ll look?just as cool?with tailoring as with denims.
