Collection Obsession: Louis Vuitton

By IMAGE
29th Jan 2014

There was no doubting the funereal tone of Marc Jacob’s final show for Louis Vuitton. The set itself was a work of art and a runway retrospective of sorts, featuring a lot of the themes of his past shows. The elevators, the carousel, the fountain, the corridors…this time all decked out in black.

Dedicated to ‘the showgirl in all of us’, Jacobs referenced his various muses from the fashion world adn the world at large – all with a touch of showgirl with the Stephen Jones ostrich feather head pieces. The clother featured denim, biker jackets and lots of black lace, beading and feathers. The models wore flat shoes as they walked the Mongolian lambs wool lined runway.

It was dark, it was beautiful, it was a major fashion moment.

And fade to black…
