The Chanel couture presentation is always the highlight of the fashion year. Not only are the clothes always immaculate, Karl Lagerfeld’s set always offers something magical.

This year’s Spring/Summer collection was presented in a ?greenhouse? with a custom-built hothouse installed in the Grand Palais venue. Male models played the role of gardeners while models almost bloomed forth, wearing intricate creations embroidered?with flowers. In this greenhouse colourful crop tops and low-slung skirts were the uniform of choice, while the Chanel tweed suit made its requisite appearance. Also, can we just have a moment of astounded silence to appreciate all those hats? The beanies were a personal favourite, reminding us of last year’s shopping aisle meets street style efforts. However, the coup de gr?ce was the finale of a bride followed by men bearing her bouquet.

Chanel fangirls Kristen Stewart and Vanessa Paradis were among the front row while Kendall Jenner was one of the Kaiser’s garden nymphs.

What’s your favourite look from the collection?
