Alexa’s Starring Role

By Jeanne Sutton

The It girl and Longchamp are back together again…

Longchamp is synonymous with cool elegance while Alexa Chung is just synonymous with cool. Those iconic Le Pliage bags? Those eyes and bangs? It made sense when, last year, these two effortlessly sophisticated ?brands? teamed up to invade our fashion consciousness. This year they’re pushing the stylistic envelope in a stunning campaign video that we’ve been looping all day.

To celebrate the new Le Pliage H?ritage bag – inspired the original, and twenty years old this year, Le Pliage – photographer Max Vadukul captured Alexa and a Jack Russell puppy modeling the trapezoidal creation that will be hanging off all elbows this autumn/winter. Accompanying these gorgeous images is a transfixing video from Jean-Fran?ois Julian. Longchamp Heritage with a Twist sees the model/author/DJ/journalist exploring the grounds of Ch?teau des Ormes and having an Alice in Wonderland-esque time as she discovers Longchamp accessories in 18th century nooks and wanders the hallways with a chic nonchalance. And as if the glimpses of all those bags and shoes weren’t enough up-and-coming French singer-songwriter Christine and The Queens is blaring out her future techno-anthem Wandering Lovers.
