5 Of The Best Party Shoes

5 Of The Best Party Shoes

Even flat-shoe devotees are seduced by the partyish feel of a heel at Christmas. Here are five chic party shoes to see you through the holidays.

I love the intricate lace effect of these shoes, and the fact that the heel is not too high. Perfect day-to night heels, they’ll pair easily with denims (go for an indigo wash or black rather than blue), tuxedo trousers or midi skirts.

Wraparound leather high heel shoes, €59.95 at Zara

The luxe velvet covering and glamorous pearl embellishment of these ankle-strap shoes are balanced by the muted shade of mushroom. Plus the block heel will provide comfort from day to evening.

Pearl sandals, €125 at uterque.com

The combination of cobalt blue and teal feels so modern here. Plus the fan detail at the front of the shoe adds a lovely feminine flourish to what is otherwise a pared-back shape.

Point-toe nappa pumps, Adam Lippes, €541 at matchesfashion.com

If you can’t go a little OTT at Christmas, when can you? These feather-trimmed, gold-heeled sandals are a bit of a fairytale shoe. Not usually something I’d wear,?but at Christmas miracles can happen.

Feather embellished satin and patent leather sandals, Marco De Vincenzo, €640 at net-a-porter.com

I’ve featured these shoes on Image.ie before, but they’re worth highlighting again as they’re a great option for this time of year. Easy to walk in (crucial), festively gold (imperative), but with a very modern shape (bonus). They’re perfect for those having a very contemporary Christmas this year.

Cracked leather mid-heel shoe, €59.95 at Zara
