3 Of The Best Handbags

3 Of The Best Handbags

Handbags are something we?tend to invest a little more in, so be sure you get your money’s worth with a bag that offers functionality, longevity and timeless appeal. Think about choosing one?that injects a bit of personality into your look, be that via colour, texture, hardware or retro references. On the high street, Zara, Massimo Dutti and Maje offer good-quality leathers, and if you’re in a position to spend more, Marni or Tod’s would be top of my wish list. Here are three great handbags to see you through this season and next.

Online retailer uterque.com has a great selection of leather handbags that are accessibly priced. I’ve fallen for this half-moon, mock-croc shoulder bag in tangerine. It will work whatever the season, adding a strong style statement to even the simplest of outfits.

At weekends I only want to wear mini bags – just something big?enough to hold my?essentials. It gives my shoulders a rest after a week of carting around ipads and notebooks and whatever else.?I like the shape of this buttery yellow box bag, and the gold chain, which elevates it to a piece?that could be worn for day or evening.

This is such a grown up-looking handbag, I’m not sure I’d ever feel mature enough to wear it, but I love it. It reminds me of handbags my mother owned when I was a child. The shade of red is gorgeous, and the suede texture makes it beautifully tactile. I would match my lipstick to the bag for a really retro look.
