Tis the season: 13 OTT Christmas Day outfits to sprinkle some glamour on the celebrations

We need some extra sparkle this year

The slightly odd Christmas Day tradition of dressing up to the nines just to sit on the couch is always a source of laughter for us at this time of year, but in 2020, it all suddenly makes sense. The urge to slip quietly back into our cosies and curl up on the couch has disappeared – we want parties, high heels, impractical glitter and sequins and to look absolutely fabulous while doing it.

This year, I am proposing a mass dress-up for Christmas Day. It’ll be easier than ever to resign ourselves to loungewear, but that’s exactly why we should rail against it. This is our last chance to bring some joy to what has been, all in all, a pretty sh*t year. Start with the sequins, and everything else will follow.
