While walking to work this morning I realised that since buying my brand new denim jacket (an entire 2 weeks ago) I’ve worn it almost every day, to the point where I have no idea how I possibly survived without it. I had spent so long on the hunt for the perfect trench coat that by the time I had the money and time for one, I’d lost interest and had moved onto the next best thing – a denim jacket. It started with a wander into Levi’s in New York and upon witnessing the perfectly distressed, vintage denim jackets on sale I knew I had to have one.
There’s only so much time a girl can spend without a good denim jacket in her wardrobe. It’s a sartorial staple that will see you through many a summer to come. And with double denim no longer a thing of the past, all the more reason to make the investment. Bonus points if you can nab a real deal vintage one from your mum’s wardrobe. For those of you left to fend for yourself in finding the perfectly blue denim hue, you’re no longer alone in your quest thanks to our round up of the best denim jackets.
