Three for Tuesday: Light coverage foundations for those good skin days

Three for Tuesday: Light coverage foundations for those good skin days

Having a good skin day?! Celebrate it. Try opting for a light coverage foundation, to show off those freckles, embrace the lighter look and love your real skin…

Light coverage foundation can be such a dream to wear – you’re covered but not caked, it feels light and airy on the skin, and people are left wondering, was that foundation or was she just looking exceptionally fresh? Ideal, in my opinion. If I’m having a good skin day (or just a good self-esteem day!) I’ll opt for one of these three. Whatever your budget, there’s one for you to try.

Fresh tint

I ADORE Chanel beauty products. They can do no wrong for me, most of the time, and with their latest Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint I am deeply enamoured. It’s €60, so very much a luxury spend, but I will splurge. It has the same microfluidic technology that’s used in CHANEL skincare, and they’ve managed to mix a water-soluble phase and an oil-soluble phase in a single formula without an emulsifier. Don’t ask me how, you guys. Ask Lucia Pica. But just trust. It’s genius.

Light wonder

I am here for all things under ten euro, and you probably won’t find a better and more effective serum foundation for that price outside the realm of The Ordinary. For €6.95, where would you be going? I find this a really amazing option for those times when I’m having a good skin day but sense a break-out – it helps keep my skin good instead of just sitting on it. I love wearing it on holiday too – with my SPF obviously.

Airbrushed beauty

We have been obsessing over Lancôme’s Teint Idole Ultra Wear since time began, am I right? I know I’ve loved it as a full coverage option for a long time. But with the new iteration, the crew at Lancôme are continuing to deliver that Teint Idole Ultra realness with a new light coverage formula – enter Teint Idole Ultra Wear Nude. It’s the same product, just feels and looks lighter. Stunning summer time option, I feel.
