The benefits of silk beauty products weren’t on my radar until recently, when I researched and realised I had used silk beauty more than I had realised…
Silk beauty for… FACE
There are a few Dermalogica products I really rate, and this is one of them. It’s a sheer, easy-to-apply formula that contains silk amino acids and a unique combination of plant extracts that improve the texture of your skin while also hydrating. It’s oil-free, too, so great if you’re looking for a non-greasy option. I apply it to slightly damp, clean skin after my toner.

Silk beauty for… BODY
Because I am deathly afraid of the dangers of using talc, I’ve steered clear of one of my favourite post-bath rituals for years. That of dousing myself in lovely, silky powder and feeling super soft for going to bed. But not anymore! This Dr Hauschka one is talc-free, and doesn’t contain any nasties (you can even use it on babies for nappy rash!) and leaves skin like silk – just what you’d expect.

Silk beauty for… EYES
Slip are known for their silk pillowcases more than anything, but the eye mask is a joy to use as well. The benefits are many – you don’t wake up with creases on your face (every. Single. Morning. I am plagued!) and you can rest assured your spendy eye cream won’t end up everywhere but your face by the next day.

Silk beauty for… HAIR
These Wella Professionals Enrich products work to inject limp hair with volume by making use of innovative ingredients like silk extract. The resulting formula is so lightweight that won’t weigh your hair down, but will lift it from the roots and increase volume, but it’ll still nourish and protect all the while.
