Goodbye, adult acne: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley reveals her hero skincare routine

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley opens up about her acne issues and what products worked best for her

When it comes to skincare products, selecting the right ones can be overwhelming, especially when you struggle with adult acne.

There are SO many options available. So how do we find the right moisturisers, cleansers and creams without making our face a human test tube?

Enter skin goddess and self-educated acne expert Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She recently released her tried and tested skincare routine on her Youtube channel and has seen a massive, cosmetic improvement.

“I was getting an enormous amount of congestion in my skin,” she explains. “I just felt so insecure about my skin. People were commenting on it.

“Anyone that struggles with acne […] will know that it really is something that can emotionally affect you.”

So, after a lot of research, Rosie was finally able to find not only what products work for her, but what ingredients to avoid. Staying away from comedogenic products (like algae extract and coconut butter) is key to keeping pores clear and surfaces smooth.

Here’s what products work for her:

Cleansers

Morning: iS Clinical Cleansing Complex

Ideal for morning use, this gentle cleanser works for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. Its low levels of salicylic acid help battle acne without over-drying.

Evening: Cosmedix Purity Clean Exfoliating Cleanser

A great cleanser to use during the evening, it contains lactic acid and exfoliates to battle clogged pores and treat acne.

Post-workout: ZO Skin Health Oil Control Pads

Apply after cleansing your face in the evening. Made with salicylic acid, it helps remove dirt and impurities, clearing build up.

Serums

Treatment: iS Clinical Active Serum

Apply three evenings a week before moisturiser. It smooths wrinkles and fine lines while deeply hydrating skin.

Tag team: iS Clinical Super Serum and iS Clinical Hydra-Cool Serum

The super serum contains Vitamin C, which helps brighten, replenish and even out your skin tone. Rosie recommends adding a few drops into the hydra-cool serum and applying it in the morning.

Moisturisers

Daily use: Biba Daily Moisturiser

This lightweight, botanical moisturiser is non-comedogenic and hydrates skin without feeling greasy.

Night cream: Biba Cream Barrier

More heavy duty, it’s best to apply Biba Cream Barrier before bed. It contains shea butter, allowing for deep hydration and replenishing dry skin.

Firming: SkinCeuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2

This miracle, anti-wrinkle treatment works to refill cellular lipids and smooth wrinkles.

SPF: Image Prevention+ Daily Moisturiser SPF 30

SPF is so important when it comes to protecting our skin. Make sure to apply before spending the day outside.

While Rosie’s skincare routine works well for her sensitive skin type, everyone is different. If you’re unsure about your skincare products, check their ingredients at Acne Clinic NYC.
