New Charlotte Tilbury & Norman Parkinson Collaboration Is Gorgeous

New Charlotte Tilbury & Norman Parkinson Collaboration Is Gorgeous

Charlotte Tilbury fans are in for a treat; her new collection – a collaboration with legendary fashion photographer Norman Parkinson, inspired by the 1970s – hits Irish shelves on July 4th. More exciting than the make-up itself are the gorgeous accessories it comes with. These are beauty bags and make-up compacts that demand to be on display and cared for with love, rather than squished down in the depths of your handbag, cosied up beside yesterday’s banana (guilty).

The collection pays homage to the British photographer’s work with some of his best photography re-worked for the product packaging and accessories. Commenting on the collaboration, Tilbury says:?”It’s a dream come true to be able to feature Norman Parkinson’s iconic images on this series of covetable vintage-inspired compacts and makeup bags. They are like mini pieces of art you will be proud to use in public.”

Miss 1975 Collection
On the ethos behind this inspiring new collection, the make-up artist to Amal Clooney explains:

“With this collection, I wanted to capture Norman Parkinson’s vision of beauty. He was an alchemist of light, capturing the sun and the differing effects of light on the skin in a unique way. He also had a beautiful sensibility for colour. Makeup artists use the same concept of colour and light to enhance the facial framework. With this product range, you can literally paint your face in Parkinson’s youth-enhancing light every day. I want everyone to feel touched by the magic of his lens!”

As for what fans can expect in terms of new additions to your make-up bag, we’re particularly eager to get our mitts on the Filmstar Bronze & Glow, so we too can reinvent ourselves as ethereal 1970s starlets.

“The collection includes a new Filmstar Bronze & Glow – Suntan & Sunlight, Colour Of Youth – Lip & Cheek Colour, Dreamy Glow Highlighter, Matte Revolution in Miss Kensington, Matte Revolution in 1975 Red, ‘On Call’ Makeup Bag and The Bathing Beauty Bag, as well as two new & exclusive looks, Miss 1975 and Miss Kensington, inspired by Parkinson’s timeless photographs.”

Miss 1975 pays homage to Jerry Hall’s first Vogue cover, which was shot by Norman in 1975. Charlotte says of the idea behind this look that fans should feel “sun-kissed and sexy, as if she were lit from within”.

Miss Kensington Collection

The second look, Miss Kensington, is all about the glow of youth. “Miss Kensington channels the soft focus sensuality and dreamy diffused light of Norman Parkinson’s ’60s muses.”
