Lobs and bobs are the unofficial hairstyles of the summer, with international celebrities swapping their long locks in favour of shorter ‘dos. From the Cannes Film Festival to the Billboard Music Awards, cropped hair is all the rage.
Cate Blanchett, Julia Michaels and Margot Robbie are just some of the stars to go for the chop. They’ve added waves and texturising product to create Boho vibes, while stars including Jenna Dewan and Dua Lipa have kept their bobs sleek, straight and shiny.
Though the trend is far from new (Jackie Kennedy’s signature lob never got old and Anna Wintour has been rocking a bob for decades), it’s seeing a resurgence again this summer. The cut is easy to manage and suits most face types; not to mention it’s more comfortable during spells of warm weather. Lobs are timeless; meaning the following celebrities are bang-on-trend.
