Supermodel and girlfriend to Bradley Cooper, Irina Shayk has drastically changed her look for a shoot and though the world’s beauty editors are probably freaking out that her sultry dark locks are no more, we kind of love it. Those dark brows, smouldering eyes and beachy blonde waves work like salt and pepper, especially offset by her enviable olive-coloured skin. In fact she reminds us quite a bit of Marilyn Monroe or Margot Robbie here.
The drop-dead-gorgeous model took to Instagram to share her new do saying ‘Who said I can’t be blonde?’ and we’re in agreement; what’s the harm in trying something new? The truth is, Irina could probably shave her head and attach cabbage leaves to her scalp and still look amazing.
The new look, we suspect, is just for a campaigns hoot, but she’s certainly inspired us to be bold and step outside of our beauty comfort zone. Other celebrities who’ve toyed with ditching their brunette barnetts in favour of a blonder hue include Khloe Kardashian, Kim, obviously (but she’s back to basics now), Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Beyonce and Rachel McAdams.
