How To: Ombr? Lips

Ombr? Lips

If it’s full, head-turning lips you’re after, a Marilyn Monroe inspired ombr? lip is the way to go. A dark brown liner that gradually lightens towards a pale nude lip may feel a little too TLC circa 1995 for you, but a graduated red lip is far more wearable.

To create the perfect ombr? red lip, we recommend the following. MAC lip liner in Brick for a strong, enviable pout shape. A pencil liner here will really become your best friend, giving your look a long lasting matte base.

Follow this either by MAC Lady Danger or Bobbi Brown’s Hot Orange Art Stick, which gives you a lighter finish on the fullest part of your lip, creating more volume overall.

To complete the look, you can either opt for a touch of luminous highlighter right in the middle of your smackers, to create a reflective glow, or apply a layer of clear lip gloss.

We went one step further, adding some Chanel L?vres Scintillantes in Fleur D’eau (a deliciously kissable red) for lips that really pop.

And voila, you’re done! Check out the gallery above where we round up some celebrity ombr? inspiration, as well as some finds from Pinterest, to get you colour-grading your kisser in no time.
