Golden Globes beauty: The best looks of the night

Golden Globes night is the first ‘big’ awards show of the season, and the beauty inspo is always incredibly good. Here are some favourites from the night…

Saoirse Ronan

Okay, okay, there’s some bias at work here. But truly, there was no one that took the red carpet last night better than our own Saoirse Ronan. Between the chain mail dress, the simple graphic earrings and the pared back hair and make-up, she showed that elegant statements can be made even when doing it minimally.

Her skin looks flawless, her blue eyes pop under the gentle encouragement of a peach eyeshadow, and she’s gone without lashes, heavy contour and bright lips, showing it can be done.

Zoey Deutch

25-year-old Zoey Deutch is probably best known right now for the Netflix show The Politician, in which she stars, playing Infinity Jackon (what a name!). I was obsessed with her entire look, but the combination of her yellow Fendi jumpsuit, her sapphire jewels and her slicked back bob was just spot ON.

Her make-up was subtle but fresh, making her skin glow and have the requisite red carpet matte at the same time. Brava.

Lucy Boynton

Bohemian Rhapsody star Lucy Boynton is taking to this whole red carpet thing scarily well — she keeps getting it right, even when she takes risks.

This space-age, silver eye was far from the standard Golden Globes look, but she seriously pulls it off with her platinum bob and porcelain skin.

Gugu Mbatha Raw

This look is created using Armani Beauty on Gugu by make-up artist Nick Barose. Gugu is one of the amazing cast from The Morning Show, the Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston production on Apple TV.

The pop of orange on the lip is Rouge D’Armani Matte in shade 401, and her skintone is the perfect backdrop for it.

Ana de Armas

This stunning Cuban-Spanish actress stars in one of my favourite films of the year, Knives Out. She stands out in a cast that’s difficult to stand out in (Jamie-Lee Curtis, Daniel Craig, Toni Collette) and looks beautiful while she does so.

Her subtle eye make-up lets her incredible hazel eyes pop, and the strawberry red on her lips is a perfect compliment to her navy sequinned dress. The look was created by @melaniemakeup using Armani Beauty.
