Future Icon: My favourite SPF foundation just got even better

Future Icon: My favourite SPF foundation just got even better

Having a holy grail SPF foundation was always the dream for me, and I found it in It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream. Now, though? It’s gotten even better, and my holidays just got much easier…

For so long, I was in search of a foundation that was just as good as my ride-or-die, with me til the end foundations, but one that also happened to contain a high SPF. I stumbled across the incredible Chanel CC cream, but at over €60, I can only buy it on special days (days when treating myself is my only financial priority).

SPF foundation – the dream

Then, I found It Cosmetics. All my Christmases came at once when the cult brand launched into Arnotts, and I was immediately taken by their Your Skin But Better CC Cream after I saw a video online of their brand ambassador, Rose Gallagher, using it on her rosacea.

It really is the dream product – it has a high coverage but dewy finish, it’s got SPF 50, skincare benefits and lasts all day (once powdered, I find). It costs €39, and a tube lasts, so I can justify the cost. I also absorb the cost of my daily SPF into it and all of a sudden it makes sense.

Now, it’s better

Well, maybe not better, per se – how could it be? But they’ve added a travel size version to the range, and honestly? Joy. I can’t tell you how much easier packing has been for me since I got it. I only bring one foundation now – I used to pack a few – and the travel size one comes with me everywhere for top ups, not just on holidays.

It comes in travel size in all the shades it normally comes in (my shade is Fair) and has all the usual unreal features that the original one has. I’m planning to stock up and put one in every handbag and suitcase so I’m never caught out.

It’s €15 and available now from Arnotts Beauty Hall, brownthomas.com and arnotts.ie.
