Firming body creams that actually make a difference

Firming body creams that actually make a difference

Firming body creams promise a lot, but do they always deliver? No in my experience. But there are some that do, and that are enjoyable to use too…

Sometimes the skin on our faces takes all the focus. In fact, most of the time, I would argue. So once a week at least I like to take a few minutes to take care of (and just remember) the skin on my body.

For whatever reason – maybe because it’s not always visible? – our body skin isn’t top of the product agenda when shopping for skincare. But here are three body care products I treat my legs, arms and torso to on the regular.

Firming body creams worth buying

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil

€49 from clarins.ie

Okay, yes, this is an oil formula rather than a cream, but I’ve been using it for years and it’s probably the most effective firming product going. The only drawback? Because it’s oily, you don’t really want to be getting dressed after using it. It’s a night-time go to for me for that reason.

Caudalie Vinosculpt Lift and Firm Body Cream

€29 from arnotts.ie (from March)

Launching in March, this Caudalie one has not left my shower-side since I got it to road test. Striking the perfect balance between rich and luxurious but fast-absorbing and non-sticky, it feels like it’s working as soon as you put it on. I’ve slathered it from my knees to my underboob after every shower and noticed a firmer tone to my skin.

Shiseido Firming Body Cream

€59 from boots.ie

This one is absolutely divine to use. I’ve loved it’s firming powers for a while, but it can be a little bit expensive. This is the one I’d slather on as a treat maybe once a month. I didn’t know it was possible for your skin to feel both firmer and softer, but that’s the result of using this over time.
