My day in beauty with Lili Forberg: ‘My skin is pretty okay for being almost 40!’

My day in beauty with Lili Forberg: ‘My skin is pretty okay for being almost 40!’

Photographer and creator Lili Forberg has an Instagram feed to die for (@LiliForberg), one of the most adorable little boys you’ll ever see (hey, Leon!) and works with the biggest international brands doing what she does best – taking incredible pictures. But what does her beauty routine entail?

“I think my skin is pretty okay for being almost 40. In the morning, I wash my face with water only. I try not to wear make up sometimes too to let my skin breath. I always, always, always take it off before bed using a gentle exfoliating face wash. I put on moisturiser after. Sometimes a serum. I don’t like too much product on my face.”

LILI’S SKIN PICKS

Cleanser: Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash
Moisturiser: Vichy Liftactiv Collagen Specialist
Serum: Eucerin Hyaluron Filler Night Peeling & Serum
Eye cream: Shiseido Future Solution LX
Mask: Vichy Clarifying Detox Charcoal Mask
Hand cream: Crabtree & Evelyn Pear & Pink Magnolia
“I’ve been using the Vichy Liftactiv Collagen Specialist as night and day cream and wow it is beautiful. It’s like it’s been made for my skin. It feels so fresh and not too heavy.”
“Being a photographer, I work with my hands so I can’t live without Crabtree & Evelyn Pear and Pink Magnolia hand cream. I use it every day after my shower and I have a mini version for my handbag.”

LILI’S SKINCARE TIP

“Always take off your makeup before bed, drink lots of water and go to bed early. I feel my skin is at its best when I’m well rested and hydrated.”

LILI’S MAKEUP PICKS

Foundation: Clarins Skin Illusion
Mascara: Rimmel Scandaleyes Wow Wings Mascara
Liner: Catrice Liquid Liner
Palette/eyeshadow: I have an Inglot palette with all my faves and that’s all I need
Powder: Clarins Mineral Loose Powder
Lipstick: Clarins Joli Rouge Velvet
Blush: Clarins Blush Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour
“My Clarins Joli Rouge Velvet in shade Raspberry goes everywhere with me. It’s the best matte lipstick which stays on and doesn’t dry your lips. I’m always in a hurry so I just throw it on to ‘dress up’. The other day it stayed on during an event and dinner. It was still perfect when I came home.”
LILI’S HAIR PICKS
Shampoo: Pantene Superfood Full & Strong
Conditioner: Pantene Superfood
Dry Shampoo: Batiste Tropical
Hairspray: L’Oréal Elnett
Texture spray: Kevin Murphy Smooth Again
Brushes: Faro
Tools: GHD
“I couldn’t live without Batiste dry shampoo for my roots especially when it’s time to get my colour done. My roots get greasy literally an hour after I wash it so I just spray it to my roots after I blow dry it.”
