With spidery lashes, fish-scale eyes and shining skin, make-up artist Jo Baker’s beauty look on Lucy Boynton for the BAFTA’s was our favourite of the night.

Dressed in circus-inspired, floating Dior couture and with eyeshadow inspired by a snapper fish’s tail flare, actor Lucy Boyton has been an award season favourite in the IMAGE office for never staying safe on the red carpet.

This dash of daring is down to Lucy, according to make-up artist Jo Baker. “Lucy wanted something very different for this look.”

This materialised as a mauve rosy-nude lip, spidery lashes from Lancôme’s Hypnoses Doll Eyes Mascara, a glued down brow, a moonlight glow from Lancôme’s Custom Drops Liquid Highlighter and those dark purple and copper gold piscine eyes, created with Lancôme Le Monochromatique Spring Collection Eyeshadow in Rouge A La Folie and Les Petits Tresors in Hotel Particular.

The look, is “leaning into daring and exciting tones“ says Jo, and was “created with bold berry and aubergine shading around her eyes with pops of antique gold with a fish tail shadow effect creating a statement shape.”

The shining skin comes courtesy of the newest member of Lancôme’s 20-year-old Teint Idole family – Ultra Wear Nude, one of the best ever foundation launches from the brand, launching Wednesday, February 13. It still has everything you love about Teint Idole – staying power, comfort – with the added bonus of a new light formula that feels weightless on the skin, blends easily, has a gorgeous glowy finish and light to medium coverage and is available in 40 shades.
