Beauty for your desk: What to have to handy on a busy work day

Beauty for your desk: What to have to handy on a busy work day

Beauty for your desk is key – you’re having a busy day, keeping things to hand will mean you’re less distracted and can focus on the tasks at hand. Here’s what to keep close…

Whether it’s a pick-me-up, a mini pamper or an absolute essential, there are some beauty items I can’t sit down to work without having close by. I’m not talking cosmetics here for a pre-meeting quick fix (although I have spoken about that before). This is more so what you need to have handy to keep you fresh and comfortable while you put in the hard slog.

EYE DROPS

beauty for your desk

Optrex Brightening Eye Drops for Dull Eyes

€4.99, boots.com

If you’re having an intense day, trust me when I tell you there’s nothing more refreshing than clearing your eyes. It’s as refreshing for me as brushing my teeth – it gives such a boost of energy and alertness. I love using eye drops even if my eyes don’t feel dry necessarily, but it’s worth taking note sometimes: Am I really tired, or are my eyes just tired?

FACIAL SPRAY

beauty for my desk

Kiehl’s Cactus Flower & Tibetan Ginseng Hydrating Mist

€22.50 from arnotts.ie

This is the most refreshing facial spray ever. There are some amazing thermal water ones I love too, but this one has such a fresh scent, it feels like you walked through a waterfall in a jungle when you spray it. Dramatic, yes, but true. As I finished typing this sentence, I picked up my spray and got that cloud of freshness going.

LIP BALM

beauty for your desk

Biologique Recherche Biokiss Phase de Soin Repairing Lip Balm

Price from Floraison.ie

I can’t go anywhere without lip balm. If my lips are dry, I can’t concentrate. I love this one from French cult skincare brand Biologique Recherche. They’re a brand that don’t retail their products without consultation, and that includes their next level lip balm, Biokiss.
