Entrepreneur, mum, and author Pippa O’Connor shares a typical day in her wellness routine including all her go-to tools, tips and tricks.

Pippa O’Connor Ormond is the creative director and CEO of the hugely successful POCO Beauty, a brand beloved by many for its ever-expanding range of high-quality beauty and skincare hero products. In addition to being a business owner, Pippa is also a mum to three beautiful little boys, so finding moments of calm amid the chaos and finding the wellness tools that help her achieve that elusive sense of balance are key priorities.

“My definition of ‘wellness’ has definitely changed the older I’ve gotten,” Pippa tells us. “I realise now more than ever how important it is for my physical and mental well-being to make time for myself. I think balance looks different for everyone. To me, wellness now means not crippling myself to be ‘doing it all’ at once.”

As someone who has always been open about prioritising that all-important balance over perfection, Pippa tells us that she realised years ago just how impossible it is to be all things to all people. “Instead of feeling guilty for not being in another place, I just concentrate on where I am at that moment, whether that’s at work or at home with my boys. I now don’t allow myself to feel guilty.”

So, what does a typical day in the life of Pippa O’Connor look like?

“I always take my Revive Active first thing every morning. I’ve done that for the past ten years. I absolutely credit my energy levels down to taking Revive Active consistently over the years. Up until last year, I would usually have a coffee or two before midday. Now I make sure to have hot water and lemon before any caffeine. I feel that it really regulates my nervous system.”

“A big change for me last year was taking up strength training. I do it two-to-three times a week, early in the morning before my kids wake up, and I can’t believe how much I’m enjoying it,” Pippa says. “My days are always different, but always busy. I could be travelling for a beauty shoot or going to our manufacturers in Milan. If not, I’m in my office, which is close to home. When I am at home and not out of the country, I like to be back in the house as early as possible to spend the evening with the boys.”

When it comes to ease of nutrition, Pippa enjoys the simplicity of having everything you need all in one sachet, thanks to Revive Active. According to Pippa: “It never feels like a chore, and it actually tastes really good!” In terms of diet and day-to-day meals, she opts for an ‘everything in moderation’ mindset, so that she doesn’t deny her body what it’s craving.

Another non-negotiable? Movement. For Pippa, it can be as simple as listening to a podcast while she gets her steps in, though she is also enjoying training with weights at the moment. “I used to tell myself that I didn’t have time for it,” Pippa recalls, “but it’s amazing what you can make time for when you actually want to do it.”

As a woman who’s well adept at juggling responsibilities, Pippa shares some words of wisdom. “I think a lot of women who have young kids and a career put themselves last, I know I did,” Pippa recalls. “I would encourage anyone to start small. Organise a walk with a friend at a certain time of the week, or book yourself into a Pilates or weight class. When you commit to someone else or to a class, you’re less likely to pull out. And remember that taking care of yourself is the least selfish thing you can do. When you feel well, everyone benefits.”
