PTSD can look like many things. It can be the worst feeling in the world masked by smiles and sociability or anything at all really. As long as it remains hidden, it will continue to be stigmatised. Amanda Cassidy meets those who are trying to change that by telling their stories.

It’s fair to say that most of us now understand that Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is far more common that previously thought, and it’s not only what war veterans suffer from. Experiencing trauma, abuse, or accidents and witnessing difficult experiences can contribute to a diagnoses of PTSD which continues to be stigmatised. Sian says she has lived with life-affecting symptoms of PTSD for far too many years, but she was only recently diagnosed with PTSD....
