Whether you're into high society scandals, kitchen meltdowns or fast cars, June has something for you. With the return of The Bear, ,The Buccaneers, ,Ginny & Georgia, and the debut of F1, it’s a bumper month on screen. Here’s what’s worth watching.

June 3

Below Deck, Hayu

Capt. Kerry reunites with Chief Stew Fraser Olender and deckhand Kyle Stillie as they welcome aboard a new crew and high-maintenance charter guests to the luxurious and lush islands of Anguilla, St. Barths and St. Maarten. Known for their unique blend of French and Dutch influences and pristine white sand beaches,  the three Caribbean territories surround each other, making for an unforgettable, island-hopping charter season.

June 4

Stick, Apple TV

Stick is a new sports comedy series from creator Jason Keller, starring and executive produced by Owen Wilson. Wilson plays Pryce Cahill, a washed-up former golf pro whose promising career was cut short two decades ago. Now working at a sporting goods store in Indiana and reeling from a failed marriage, Pryce takes a wild gamble on his future by mentoring Santi (Peter Dager), a troubled 17-year-old golf prodigy. Set against the backdrop of the sport like you’ve never seen it before, Stick is a heartfelt, feel-good comedy about second chances, unlikely bonds and the power of found family.

June 6

Ballerina, cinemas nationwide

John Wick bled out at the end of the fourth film, but through the magic of timeline-hopping, Keanu Reeves’ neo-noir assassin lives again in this spin-off set shortly after the events of Parabellum. The titular ballerina is Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) – a dancer-turned-assassin sworn to avenge her father’s death.

June 5

Ginny & Georgia, Netflix

Returning for a third season, the mother-daughter duo are facing more than the usual trials and tribulations of mother and daughter relationships. Now they are facing a murder trial. Series two ended with Georgia (Brianne Howey) being arrested on her wedding day, leaving her daughter Ginny (Antonia Gentry) reeling. Now, Ginny must decide whether to trust in her mother’s innocence or believe the mounting evidence stacked against her. With Georgia under house arrest and an ankle monitor in place, and Ginny enduring judgmental stares in the school corridors, the pressure is on. Can the Millers survive their biggest challenge yet?

June 12

FUBAR, Netflix

Season 2 of Fubar brings back Arnold Schwarzenegger as veteran CIA operative Luke Brunner. After discovering his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) is also a CIA agent, the father-daughter duo continues their espionage adventures. Expect a blend of high-stakes action, sharp humour and complex family dynamics as the Brunners navigate new challenges in the world of espionage.

June 18

We Were Liars, Prime Video

Based on the best-selling novel by E. Lockhart, We Were Liars picks up one year after a mysterious accident leaves 17-year-old Cadence with amnesia. Returning to Beechwood, a private island off Martha’s Vineyard, she seeks answers – but no one in her privileged Sinclair family is willing to talk. As three generations gather for their annual summer retreat, Cadence’s childhood friends, known as “The Liars”, and her first love, Gat, remain tight-lipped about what happened. Left with fragments of memory and growing suspicion, Cadence is determined to uncover the truth herself.

The Buccaneers, Apple TV

Inspired by Edith Wharton’s unfinished novel, this period drama follows a group of spirited young American women as they navigate the complexities of 1870s London high society. Picking up where season 1 left off, Nan St. George (Kristine Frøseth) is now the Duchess of Tintagel and reeling from the revelation about her birth mother, a role expected to be played by new cast member Leighton Meester. Caught between her husband, Theo, and her true love, Guy, Nan must also contend with the weight of her new title and its many expectations. Meanwhile, her sister Jinny, now pregnant and escaping a dangerous marriage, faces her own growing set of challenges. With secrets, scandal, and shifting loyalties, drama is guaranteed.

June 19

The Waterfront, Netflix

Set in the fictional coastal town of Havenport, North Carolina, The Waterfront follows the Buckley family, who have long held sway over the local fishing industry and restaurant scene. Patriarch Harlan Buckley (Holt McCallany) is recovering from two heart attacks, leaving his wife Belle (Maria Bello) and son Cane (Jake Weary) to navigate the challenges of maintaining the family’s crumbling empire. As they struggle to keep their businesses afloat, the Buckleys are drawn into increasingly risky and morally ambiguous decisions. 

28 Years Later, cinemas nationwide

Starring Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and directed by Danny Boyle, 28 Years Later takes place three decades after the rage virus escaped from a biological weapons laboratory. Still living in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amid the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily defended causeway. When one of them decides to venture into the dark heart of the mainland, he soon discovers a mutation that has spread to not only the infected but to other survivors as well.

June 24

Ironheart, Disney+

Set after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Marvel Television’s Ironheart pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) – a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world – returns to her hometown of Chicago. Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins, aka “The Hood” (Anthony Ramos).

June 25

Countdown, Prime Video

After a Department of Homeland Security officer is killed in plain sight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum (played by Jensen Ackles) is brought onto a covert task force with undercover agents from various law enforcement agencies to track down the murderer. However, the search reveals a much darker conspiracy than anyone expected, sparking a frantic race to protect a city of millions.

June 26

The Bear, Disney+

Following the season 3 cliffhanger, Carmy wrestles with the fallout from a mixed review in the Chicago Tribune that puts The Bear’s future on shaky ground. Meanwhile, Sydney faces a crucial crossroads, torn between her loyalty to the team and tempting new opportunities. As personal dynamics shift, Richie confronts his past and complicated family ties, while Carmy grapples with the heavy demands of leadership and his own legacy.

The season also shines a light on other fan-favourites – Tina, Marcus and Natalie – all navigating their own challenges and growth. The return of Donna Berzatto (Jamie Lee Curtis) deepens the family drama, offering fresh insight into Carmy’s upbringing and the roots of his culinary fire. A definite must-see.

June 27

Squid Game, Netflix

The light turns green one final time. After Seong Gi-hun’s (Lee Jung-jae) rebellion against the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) was completely crushed, Player 456 is once again forced into the deadly games. This time, he’s joined by last season’s survivors: the mother-and-son pair Geum-ja (Kang Ae-sim) and Yong-sik (Yang Dong-geun); crypto scammer Myung-gi (Yim Si-wan) and his pregnant ex-lover Jun-hee (Jo Yu-ri); and Hyun-ju (Park Sung-hoon), who competes to pay for her gender-affirming surgery. Squid Game Season 3 marks the thrilling conclusion to Hwang Dong-hyuk’s record-breaking Korean thriller.

Smoke, Apple TV

Smoke follows Dave Gudsen (Taron Egerton), a seasoned arson investigator, and detective Michelle Calderone (Jurnee Smollett), as they team up to track down two elusive serial arsonists wreaking havoc in the Pacific Northwest. Their pursuit leads them into a complex web of secrets, psychological tension and moral dilemmas. The show is inspired by true events and the podcast Firebug, which chronicles the real-life crimes of convicted arsonist John Leonard Orr. 

F1, cinemas nationwide

In the 1990s, Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was Formula 1’s most promising driver until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, the owner of a struggling Formula 1 team convinces Sonny to return to racing and become the best in the world. Driving alongside the team’s hotshot rookie, Sonny soon learns that the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone. Also stars our very own Kerry Condon.
