Emilia Clarke just listed her $5 million LA home and it’s a bookworm’s paradise

Her spacious, open home has a giant, built-in bookshelf with its own sliding ladder

Emilia Clarke is selling her gorgeous, modern home for a whopping $4.995 million, and with its bespoke interior and lap-lane swimming pool, it is worth every penny.

The 2,800 square foot home is located in idyllic Venice, a bohemian beach area near Los Angeles International Airport.

The house has just two bedrooms and three bathrooms, and is long and narrow, though its floor-to-ceiling windows make it feel more spacious and open.

In fact, the sunny patio and pool can be accessed through walls of disappearing glass.

But the home’s true hero is its sprawling, wooden bookcase, with Game of Thrones-esque drama, that pulls all attention in the living room.

Its impressive stature spans nearly the entire wall, its staggered wooden cubbies dotted with trailing plants and stacks of books (maybe Clarke’s George RR Martin collection?).

The living room is part of the main floor area, which leads into the high-end chef’s kitchen, elegant den and outside into an open courtyard.

Ascend the floating staircase and you’ll find two en-suite bedrooms. The master retreat boasts views of the surrounding greenery, an 80-year-old olive tree grove.

It also has a walk-in closet and a master bath with a rainfall shower and large bathtub.

Light and bright interiors, pool perks, a beachside location and a famous owner – this house is the ideal getaway for anyone looking to spend this autumn poolside or on the sun-soaked beaches of California.
