Victoria Beckham To Donate Harper’s Clothes To Charity

Victoria Beckham To Donate Harper’s Clothes To Charity

While we’re still divided over Victoria Beckham’s Vogue 73 Questions video, we are all agreed she’s one brilliant lady. She went from derided rag to one of the fashion industry’s most lauded designers in the space of a few years and manages a multi-million empire while being a mum to four children. And when she’s not busy setting the what-people-actually-wear agenda, she’s helping out various charities.

Last year she sold memorable pieces from her own wardrobe for the HIV charity mothers2mothers. She is also a UN goodwill ambassador for the UNAIDS campaign and helps out Elton Johns foundation.

Now Victoria is selling some of her stylish daughter Harper’s wardrobe for a good cause. She’s teaming up with Save the Children to raise money for their Fashion Saves Lives sale, the Daily Mail reports. The designer has chosen 35 outfits of Harpers, including pieces from Chloe, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Marc Jacobs, Charlotte Olympia, Stella McCartney and Roksanda Ilincic. Let all that jealousy of a three-year-old sink in.

Prices for the clothes will start at €250 for dresses and shoes while full outfits will fetch €500. All funds raised will go towards helping to end children’s deaths from preventable causes. Save the Children aims to do this by 2030, as admirable a goal as you can get. Victoria said that as a mum she believes ?that all children, wherever they live, have the right to a happy, healthy life.

‘Everyone out there can do their part by purchasing or donating, ensuring children all around the world have the opportunity of a brighter future.?

While getting rid of old clothes that don’t fit anymore makes sense, it can be a bit of heart-wrenching event for any parent. We think Victoria deserves a round of applause for using her name and influence to couple this milestone with helping the less fortunate.

We get the sense that Harper is going to be okay without having all those designer outfits within easy reach. After all, her dad shared this football kit on Instagram two days ago. He captioned it: “What an amazing gift from the @england woman’s team for Harper … Good luck to the team tomorrow in their first game against France .. #lionesses #pride #england”
