Yesterday was a big day for JDIFF. Sarah Greene and Jack Reynor officially launched the festival at a morning press event, confirming the attendance of Julie Andrews, Russell Crowe and plenty more familiar faces to these emerald shores. Then it was time to party at Dublin’s Academy, during which the Jameson whiskey and gingerale was flowing, while Ireland’s leading film critics mingled in anticipation of another brilliant festival. Festival director and super impressive female, Grainne Humphreys, was on hand as always to welcome everyone before handing the mike over to Jack Reynor and his Grassland director Gerard Barrett.
