Fashion Designer Vivienne Westwood Seen With Repeal The 8th Sweatshirt

Renowned fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has made plain her feelings on the #RepealThe8 movement as Irish journalist and Editor of Guts magazine, Roisin Agnew revealed on Twitter today. The iconic designer can be seen standing alongside Agnew holding up the black Repeal sweater as per the tweet below:

Westwood is the latest public figure to come out in support of the?#Repealthe8 campaign; it has received much attention of late thanks to the Sydney Rose of Tralee Brianna Parkins, who stated her support for a referendum repealing the eight amendment during her interview?on stage during the ceremony?last week (it was then headline news across the country) and the @TwoWomenTravel Twitter account – set up by an Irish woman and her friend to live-tweet her experience as she flew from Ireland to England for an abortion that she could not obtain here – received international attention.

Back on home shores, say goodbye to flower crowns as festival accessories, as the Repeal shirt appears to be the new fashion staple at Electric Picnic this year; amongst the wet, wind and rain, ?the brilliant Sharon Horgan, Andy Lee and Aisling Bea could be seen wearing theirs on and off stage.

Maser’s Project Arts Theatre famous mural (which was painted over and then made into t-shirts by the Hunreal Issues)?can also be seen scattered across?the Picnic grounds.
