The final, pre-Christmas build up is now upon us and we’re reaching peak excitement levels! As part of our collaboration with the lovely folk at Arnotts, where you can shop for every single loved one under one roof, over the 12 days in the lead up to Christmas we’ve been?catching up with some of Ireland’s most familiar names, finding out what Christmas means for them and what they’ll be wishing for. Today, it’s IMAGE Magazine Editor Rosie McMeel’s?turn to take the spotlight.

What is your earliest memory of Christmas?
The year the roller skates and the Cabbage Patch Kid arrived. The excitement was out of control. Santa got an A+ that year.

Describe your perfect Christmas?
Good food, great wine, excellent company and a night that ends with young and old dancing around the kitchen like complete idiots.

What do you like most about Christmas – the build up or the day?itself?
The build up. When you work on a magazine this starts somewhere around October, so it’s good that I love it.

What are the essentials in your household when it comes to Christmas day dinner? Sausage meat stuffing is a must. We’re also very pro Brussel sprouts. We cook them in orange juice and add bacon and cashew nuts. The end result is nothing short of perfection.

What presents are you hoping to buy this year for your nearest and dearest?
I’m a fan of the small but mighty gifts – I’m a sentimentalist at heart.

What’s on your own wishlist?
Anything I wouldn’t need to buy myself. Practical presents have no place under my tree.

Browse the gallery above for Rosie’s wish list and shop the gifts below. For more gifting inspiration, shop in store or online at arnotts.ie
