The five-star Marker Hotel on Grand Canal Square in Dublin teamed up with Canadian athletic apparel label Lululemon last week for a special rooftop yoga class. With 360 degree views of the Dublin Mountains, Grand Canal and the Irish Sea, the Marker held the event to launch its summer programme of yoga classes, which will take place every Saturday morning until the end of August.

Hosting the yoga class were Lululemon ambassadors and yoga instructors Annie Kirwan and Lee Tracey. Following the session, guests retreated to the Marker Bar for a healthy menu of breakfast bites including paleo balls, fruit and protein shake and shots from the Marker’s specially devised Equilibrium menu.

Lululemon lead weekly community events in-store in Brown Thomas, creating the opportunity for guests to have some time for themselves and discover a new way to break some sweat with exercise. The Marker rooftop was a totally different space for the class – located on the seventh floor of the hotel, it offered sensational views of the city, making it an energising space to practice.

Suitable for all levels of yogis, the class will cost €25 for non-residents with complimentary spaces available for residential guests of the hotel and take place every Saturday morning from 8.45am -10.00am throughout the summer. Mats and blocks will be provided on the day, but if you want, participants can bring their own equipment.
