1. Her acting career is kicking off
The 15-year-old is making her screen debut in Yoga Hosers this summer. The movie’s plot is about two young yoga fans who encounter a manhunter, who is being played by none other than Johnny Depp, her real-life dad. Acting is in Lily-Rose’s blood. Her father is the star of a number of high-grossing films, in particular the Pirates of the Carribean franchise, and her mother Vanessa Paradis is one of France’s most beloved singers and actresses.
2. She’s not afraid to exploit her famous connections
There she is hanging at Target with her dad. Most celebrity offspring outside of the reality television circuit tend to downplay their connections in a bid to make it on their own terms. Look at Meryl Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer? Dakota Johnson waited until after Fifty Shades to hang out with, and snap at, her mother on the red carpet. Lily-Rose is not one for subterfuge.
3. The fashion world loves her
Last month Lily-Rose attended the Chanel Metiers d’Art Collection party in New York, in a two-piece Chanel ensemble, and the internet went a little crazy. If Karl loves her, we’re all going to love her. After all, the man is responsible for making Kendall Jenner into a veritable runway star, and thanks to him Cara Delevingne is critic-proof. Will Lily-Rose be the next Keira Knightley?
