It looks like we may have a new ?it? couple in the land of celebrity. Calvin and Taylor have had their moment to shine, and Bey and Jay are seemingly solid as a rock (contrary to frequent breakup reports), so we were due a new power pairing. And if reports and not-so-subtle Instagram snaps are to be believed, this pair consists of ex-One Direction’s Zayn Malik and Victoria’s Secret model, Gigi Hadid.
Rumours of a romance between the two have been all aflutter this week after they reportedly enjoyed a string of nights out together. The model and the former One Direction singer originally sparked speculation when they were photographed leaving a party together after the American Music Awards on Sunday, and now they’ve been spotted out and about yet again.
According to E! News, the duo enjoyed dinner together at The Nice Guy in Los Angeles on Tuesday night with Gigi’s sister, Bella Hadid, and simply ?couldn’t get enough of one another.?
“Gigi and Zayn couldn’t keep their hands off each other,” a source said. “They were holding hands under the table, whispering in each others’ ears, and Zayn [was] holding Gigi’s leg. Gigi was so attached to him that she even followed Zayn outside to the patio during a smoke break.” Ah, the humble smoke break. It’s started many a romance on these shores.
Naturally 1D fans have gone into meltdown, especially since the loved-up twosome appears to be already taking a leaf out of the Swift-Calvin book and are using each other’s social media accounts.
Just hours before he was seen with Gigi at The Nice Guy on Tuesday, the former One Direction star shared a selfie where he appeared to be wearing the runway stars”distinctive glasses.

However, fans can cool their heels for now as they aren’t even close to calling things ?official? yet. “They are just friends and are casually hanging out. She is not looking to jump into another relationship so soon. Gigi is a relationship-type kind of girl, but she wants to have some fun and take time to herself and her career at the moment,” added the source.
It may indeed be too soon for both parties to jump on the relationship bandwagon; Hadid only just called it a day with former beau Joe Jonas, and then there was the furore surrounding Malik’s much-publicised engagement break-up with ex-girlfriend Perrie Edwards. (He apparently did the deed over text, so that makes it?really?hard to like him).
Time will tell. And this may be harsh, but they just don’t seem to have the likability factor of Calvin and Taylor?
