Last night, Zo? Jordan launched her collection for River Island Design Forum in the Grafton Street, Dublin store. The 11 piece capsule collection designed exclusively for River Island demonstrates Jordan’s core design characteristics of clean lines and texture. With prices ranging from €47 – €337 the Zo? Jordan X River Island Design Forum collection is available in store and online from Tuesday 22nd September.

While chatting with Melanie Morris, Zo? Jordan discussed her inspiration behind the collection and fashionable River Island guests sipped on a delicious, bespoke cocktails from Ketel One. The ?Ketel One Fire in the Sky’ combined Ketel One vodka, Cr’me de Violette, fresh lemon juice, and Elderflower Liquor to create a delicious thirst quenching drink. Food from various sweet and savoury restaurants around Dublin were delivered in true style by Deliveroo Dublin. Sushi from Banji Japanese Dining, Umi Falafel, tapas from Zaragoza followed by sweet treats from Krust Bakery all satisfied the hungry shoppers.

Jordan takes inspiration by Deep Purple lyrics ?Smoke on the water, Fire in the sky?, resulting in misty prints, charcoal hues and a striking ombr? effect. The Zo? Jordan girl is ‘sophisticated with natural confidence, wit and spirit and a boyish element?, all qualities weaved into this collection via a range of statement pieces.

Jordan’s theatrical range for RIDF combines the organic with the manufactured; Smoke printed maxi dresses and cotton tees are intertwined with leather dresses and knitted jumpers. The Zo? Jordan ideal is evident from the androgynous cargo trousers, leather cut tee and tailored two-piece suit, whilst the faux fur bolero and statement patent leather parka complete the collection ready for winter.

Jordan says of the collaboration ?It’s been a great opportunity to engage with a new audience and I’m excited to come back to my home town to launch the collection.?

After leaving her career as a bond trader in the city, UK-based Jordan embarked on an exciting and promising career as a fashion designer. Jordan’s first season was launched in 2012 and debuted at London Fashion Week in 2012. She draws her inspiration from a childhood surrounded by motor racing and her designs demonstrate a unique in-depth knowledge of architectural shapes and a strong love of textures and contemporary art. Zo? Jordan was shortlisted for the 2012 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. The brand has grown more and more successful and now counts Cara Delevingne, Sienna Miller and Lady Gaga as fans of the label.

Guests enjoyed incredible Ketel One Fire in the Sky cocktails which were inspired by Zoe’s collection on the night.
