What’s really going on with Britney Spears?

What’s really going on with Britney Spears?

A messy new Britney Spears family drama has exploded. Even her ex-husband wants nothing to do with it.

I grew up with Britney. She was the soundtrack to my early college years. I had my first kiss dressed up as her, one Halloween, I went to her concerts. And it wasn’t just her music I loved – she herself seemed so carefree, so energetic, so sunny.

She was the whole package.

But the undeniable demise of the singer’s mental health has been hard to watch. Some blame the photographers, hounding her at every opportunity for decades. Others believe the sexism she was exposed so as she tried to make her way as an attractive young girl in the music industry contributed to her breakdown that lead to her conservatorship.

But as she moves into her 40s, increasingly sexualising herself, there are fears that the conservatorship may have been a smoke screen for something none of us want to see – a woman, a mother experiencing serious issues, and yet who still remains under the glare of the media.

Vulnerable

Today Britney Spears took to social media to issue a lengthy statement to her followers following reports that her family claims she’s using drugs.

Posted on Instagram, it read: “The fact that people are claiming things that are not true is so sad. This may not even be them saying such things because it doesn’t make any sense to me for them to be saying that.

“With Preston saying ‘she needs to listen to us before it’s too late’ … Do you remember every visit you came to my home, you went into your room and locked the door?

“I never saw you guys … Jayden played the piano and we made music together … But the day I told him I wanted to see you guys more, I never saw you again.

It makes me sad because I tried so hard to make things nice for you and it was never good enough. So you guys go behind my back and talk about me … it breaks my heart and the news is so low …

“I’ve always felt like the news bullies me … It’s sad because everyone sits back as if that’s ok to make up lies to that extent … Why am I told I have to sit back and rise above? When they all go so low?

“Hopefully it is just the news being hateful and Kevin nor Preston said any of those things either way I will be fine working out to Throb”.

Her statement comes after n which it was claimed that her ex-husband had shared concerns about the mother of his sons overdosing on meth.

But true or not, fans say they are concerned that Britney has been posting bizarre videos on social media for quite some time now.

Tonight her solicitor Mathew Rosengart slammed the “false and defamatory” report linking the singer to crystal meth use.

The allegations come over a year after the much-publicised end of Britney’s conservatorship, which controlled nearly every aspect of her life for 13 years.
