Planning an unforgettable day out at Kildare Village? Here’s what to expect

From designer threads for less, to gourmet food, to an epic Enchanted Lights experience, Kildare Village isn’t just a shopping destination, it’s a bonding day out for the whole family.

If you’re looking for a one-stop shop that will keep the whole family entertained, look no further than Kildare Village.

Located just 45 minutes from Dublin, Ireland’s leading luxury shopping destination has transformed into a winter wonderland experience that all ages can enjoy.

Extending its Enchanted Lights experience beyond the festive season, the Village now offers a range of interactions to keep even the most reluctant shoppers entertained.

Here’s what a day out at Kildare Village can look like

Bundle up and strap in, your go-to destination for wholesome family fun is less than an hour away.

Park up for free at Kildare Village, and take advantage of the valet service while you shop, prices and options here.

Browse more than 100 designer boutiques that cater for every age, from Armani, Asics, Barbour, Coach, French Connection, Kurt Geiger, Levi’s, to Michael Kors, Nike, The North Face, Swarovski, Tory Burch, Under Armour and more.

Enjoy up to 70% off RRP with the Extraordinary Sale, running until January 26, terms and conditions apply.

Grab a coffee on the go from Starbucks, or after you’re all shopped out, take the kids for a delicious traditional crêpe with a modern twist at Crêperie Angélie. For the ultimate indulgence, treat yourself to a smoked salmon salad, followed by a ravioli alfredo at Dunne & Crescenzi L’Officina, where the kids can enjoy a Kinder Bueno sundae.

Daily from 4pm at the Village, families can interact with the Enchanted Lights experience, which is entirely complimentary. Thousands of LED lights make the Village sparkle, and interactive projection mapping instalments allow kids and adults control the atmosphere via a touchscreen.

Bursting with bright neonic colours, bold geometric shapes and striking street-style fashion silhouettes inspired by iconic Asian cityscapes, this feast for the eyes, ears and feels is running until February 2.

Enchanted Lights is the largest installation of its kind in Ireland. Created by Dublin-based creative production agency Algorithm in partnership with the Kildare Village creative team, the fully interactive display stretches from the Village’s Grey Abbey lawn right onto the store buildings themselves.

Children are invited to control the LED touchscreen, which alters the display of white lights on the grass. The brightly lit Geometric Tunnel generates sound and visual patterns when it senses someone walking underneath.

Ciara Finn, senior producer with Algorithm, described the ‘wow’ moment the experience is for children when they see the Lights for the first time. “It was an ambitious venture, it’s very rewarding to see children light up when they come in. Children are much more loose in their reactions compared to adults – the kids have no problem exclaiming out loud with their excitement, which is lovely to see.”

The cool kaleidoscopic show is the perfect way to end a family filled day at Ireland’s largest luxury shopping destination.
