With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we’re starting to fall victim to romantic stories of varying degrees, turning to putty when we hear about a love that’s stood the test of time. Hugh Jackman 47, (known to some as a superhuman carved by angels) and his wife Deborra Lee (she’s 13 years his senior) are coming up on their 20th wedding anniversary. That mightn’t sound newsworthy to mere mortals, but when we think of celebrity marriages, we think in terms of dog years because there are so few that make it through these days. The Wolverine actor joined Ellen on her popular chat show and had no qualms whatsoever in gushing about his incredible wife and the journey they’ve shared. “It just gets better and better,” he said, his eyes glazing over at the thought of his beloved, “She’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me. I can honestly say that” and we know he means it.

Jackman shares the story of how they met twenty years ago, long before he was any sort of celebrity. Now, 21 years and two kids later, they’re as inseparable as ever, and Jackman still lights up like a kid with a crush when her name comes up in conversation. Major relationship goals; we’re not jealous at all. Not one bit. We’re very happy for them. In fact, we’re thrilled.
