Watch: Dove Says Love Your Curls

Do you know a little girl who doesn’t like her curly hair? Show her this video, Dove are famous for their championing of ‘real’ beauty and are back again with a video that seeks to empower young girls who feel self-conscious about their hair and estimate that only four in ten actually like their locks. (We’re making a sadface at that fact.)

However, Dove also found that when a girl is surrounded by people who love and are enthusiastic?about their hair, they are seven times more likely to embrace their curls. To illustrate this point Dove took a groups of girls and their mothers and arranged a party with cool, and curly, women to show these girls they have nothing to feel remotely bad about and plenty to be proud of.

In an interview with Adweek Rob Candelino, vice president of marketing for haircare at Unilever, said?”The final scene reveals what our research confirmed and what Dove has passionately championed for years?whether a mother, mentor, teacher, aunt or even friend?women can influence and inspire young girls in their lives.”

It’s all very sweet.
